Eclipse of the sun; excellent observation by the children from the playground. Eclipse begins at 8.30 a.m. and lasts until 11.15 a.m. Seen as a partial eclipse from the school.
Teachers at the school include Miss Carter, Miss G. Rose.

Irene Grainger, 10½ years old, has been awarded a free place at Easingwold Grammar School.

Annie Wylie, an ex-pupil, commences teaching duties at Coxwold School as a student teacher.

Deep snow. Cookery course to be started for girls.

A Miss Robson, an organising mistress, visits the school in the morning to give a demonstration of cutting out material to the senior girls.

Mr. Oates completes 30 years as Head Teacher at Coxwold School.

Annie Wylie terminates her teaching duties at this school as a student teacher.

Muriel Bell, aged 11 years, has won a free place at Easingwold Grammar School.

Sir William Worsley visits the school regarding the average distance each pupil travels to school.

Marjorie and Elsie Bell, 5 years old, sisters and pupils at the school, die of typhoid fever. Miss Annie Wylie, now taken on as a full time teacher, a personal family friend of the Bells, requires leave to go to the sisters' funeral.

N. Grainger wins a free place to Easingwold Grammar School. Nora Robson leaves to attend Tadcaster Grammar School. Dorothy Langdale has been withdrawn to return to her home at Snainton after one year at Coxwold School.
Sept 15
Diocesan report - infants are a very pleasant class of children and work well. Middle division: Head teacher succeeded in making the children think. First division: children have capability, are keen and responsive. Written work very good.

14 first class girls withdrawn from school to attend Cookery lessons in Van no 3.
Oct 1
Children admitted to school: George Mason, Katie Mason and L Kirk. They are very backward and lazy and careless; their work is deplorable.
Oct 3
School continues in good progress; conduct and needlework very good. Boys' work on gardening education is well taught. Class2: good work in composition but arithmetic is weak. Class 3: progressing but speech training needs more attention. More time in school should be given to singing lesson instruction. (Part of Education Officer report)

Coxwold Feast. Poor attendance because of illness and very wintry weather.

Jan 5
School reopens. Only one child absent. 8 new pupils start school, including 5 sisters from Kilburn School called Cattley, 2 from Welburn and one intelligent boy from Middlesbrough Technical School. The 5 sisters are very backward and need a lot of extra work.

Dental inspection.
Apr 15
Nurse inspects children. 4 children with unclean heads.
May 7
The General Strike has little effect on the school. Very good attendance: 80, out of the 85 on the register.
July 6
Mr. Francis Lacy, a student from York training college, visits the school on work experience in a rural school. He was a former pupil at Coxwold School, where he gained a free place at Easingwold Grammar School.
July 26
Mr. Oates, Head Teacher, receives a letter from County Hall:
"Dear Sir, Now that you will shortly cease your duty as head teacher at Coxwold C of E School and I am to express my appreciation of the excellent manner in which you have discharged your duties as Head Teacher of the School, and I hope that you will enjoy many years of retirement.
Yours faithfully, J. G. Wrigby."

July 28
Mr. J. W. Sanderson, the newly appointed Head teacher, visits the school. George Weightman has won one of five free places at Easingwold Grammar School.
July 29
"It is with sorrow I part from these nice children and teachers. I have been very happy here for 32 years but I feel now that it is time for a younger man. I leave the School in its usual order and feel sure that Mr. Sanderson with the capable help of the 2 assistant mistresses will carry on doing good work in a very satisfactory manner. I wish the pupils and teachers alike the very best of luck and happiness. W. Oates, headmaster 1894-1926."

[M] Land is made available to build a Village Hall by the side of the school.

Owing to bad weather and influenza, attendance has varied from 76% to 45%. Number of pupils on register 75.

School closes because of influenza. Reopened February 7th.

On advice from the Medical Officer, the school closes again because of the flu epidemic. It reopened on March 14th.
