How to Find Coxwold
Coming from the North
From the A19 travelling south take the York exit at Thirsk. Travel about three miles further south and take a fork left following the signs for the caravan route that avoids Sutton Bank and for Ampleforth. Carry on a further 5 to 6 miles on the same road and you will enter the village of Coxwold. Just after the 30 limit is Lawrence Sternes famous house,Shandy Hall and a further 400yds the Fauconberg Arms.
Coming from the South and York via Easingwold
Head north on the A19 and by pass Easingwold and carry on for 3 miles toward Thirsk. Turn right toward Carlton Husthwaite (3 miles ) and go through the village until you come to a Give Way at a fork in the road. Turn right and then left again after 200yds. Follow the road into the village of Coxwold.
